Kick Kleverlaan is an independent geology consultant.
He carried out sedimentological and stratigraphical research for BP,
Schlumberger, Statoil, Nexen, Hess, Nexen Cnooc, Shell and many others.
He received a BSc in sedimentology and petrology, a MSc in stratigraphy
and a PhD for his research on the Tabernas Submarine Fan Complex at the
University of Amsterdam.
He has undertaken sedimentological studies in Spain, Svalbard, Alaska,
Iceland, Greenland, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Turkey, Tunisia,
Oman, Dutch West Indies, France, Namibia and The Netherlands.
In 1994 he helped to redevelop several of the Shell training courses and is
running field courses for Shell ever since.
